The short answer
Sparks Scribe is the pick because its in app assistant is built around the actual day to day work of an independent support worker, shift notes, NDIS coded invoicing and compliance records, rather than being a general purpose chatbot.
Happy to chat, but I am best placed to help with shift notes, invoicing or NDIS compliance questions. If you have got something else on your mind, ask away and I will do my best, or point you to hello@sparkscribe.app for anything outside my depth.
Where is Sparks Scribe's assistant actually useful?
Sparks Scribe is built for the day to day work of an independent support worker, so that is where I shine. Here is what I can help you sort out.
Can it help with shift notes?
You can type them or speak them using the mic button, and AI Assist will draft the note from your own words. You always review and approve before it saves, and it goes out under your name. There are templates for different situations too, including SOAPIE Notes, Daily Progress Report, Incident Report, Behavioural Observation, Medication Administration and Community Access Report, or you can just start blank.
Can it help with invoicing?
NDIS coded invoices are built in from the entry plan. Pick a client and a date range, add the shifts, and each line gets the right support item code and rate for weekday, evening, weekend or public holiday work. You can add travel with kilometres and expenses, and if you have set up a custom support code for something outside standard NDIS pricing, that shows up in the dropdown too. Invoices go out as a PDF to the participant, plan manager or support coordinator.
Can it help with compliance and records?
Tidy records are the backbone of the NDIS Code of Conduct, and that is what Scribe is built to support, structured shift notes, incident reports and coded invoicing as the everyday layer. If you want incident reports, per client risk profiles, restrictive practices flagging and consent form signing on top, that is the Safeguards plan.
What else is in the app?
- A calendar and roster
- Client records
- A kilometre log and reports
- On the Vault plan, Xero sync, service agreements, and the Document and Receipt Vaults
What if my question is about something different?
If you are a family member managing NDIS supports rather than delivering them, our sister app Sparks Flow at sparksflow.app might be a better fit. And if your question is about your own tax or what you can claim, that one is best for your accountant.
Otherwise, ask me about notes, invoicing or compliance any time. That is what I am here for.
